Ask the Marshall Lonesome Dove True West Magazine

In the Lonesome Dove photo, I could pick out only Woodrow Call and Clara Allen. Did the other main cast members leave the set?

I thought the same thing when I saw the photo. I looked for Diane Lane, whom I must confess to having a long-time crush, and couldn’t find her.

Most of Lonesome Dove’s starring cast were not present for the last day of filming the CBS miniseries, when Bill Wittliff took this photograph of cast and crew at Clara’s.

Since the CBS miniseries featured so many segments shot over a period of time, many actors and actresses would have done their segment in a day or two, and moved on to other projects. Most of the folks in the photo were probably extras or crew members.
